We are excited to be assisting our client, a well-established and growing public accounting practice in Central Washington, in their search for an Audit & Assurance Associate.

About the role:
As an Audit & Assurance Associate, you will be assisting with engagement planning, process and controls testing, audit procedures, analytical reviews, and accounting research, as well as drafting financial statements, disclosures, and other reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, executing and completing supervised work on financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Performing internal control testing and planning to support an audit opinion
  • Researching technical issues that arise during the course of audit engagements
  • Creating draft audit reports for management review
  • Assisting in preparing risk assessment, audit plan programs and internal audit reports
  • Providing both leadership and supervision to Audit Staff
  • Participating in the proposal process for new clients and projects
  • Learning about the industry groups within which the Firm’s clients operate and using that knowledge to impact audit effectiveness and efficiencies


Qualifications:

  • 1 year of public accounting or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or intention to complete the Exam soon
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Creative problem solving and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel on a very limited basis, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
