About the role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Senior Associate to join their team. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing tax returns for a variety of clients, conducting tax research, and providing tax planning and compliance services.

  • Preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, including supporting work papers for various types of returns such as corporations, partnerships, non-profits, individuals etc.
  • Conducting tax research and providing tax planning and compliance services
  • Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities
  • Preparing extensions and quarterly estimates
  • Reviewing and supervising the work of junior staff members
  • Communicating with clients to gather necessary information and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Learning about the industry groups within which the Firm’s clients operate


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or intention to complete the Exam soon
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with tax preparation software
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel on a very limited basis, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
