Our Client, a locally-owned CPA firm, is seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join their team.

About the role:
Throughout the year, Audit Seniors will work on a full range of services, including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, consulting, and audits of employee benefit plans.  The ideal candidate will thrive with a desire for challenge and career advancement in a rapidly growing, leading firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead audit engagements from planning to completion
  • Coordinated fieldwork logistics of engagement with client
  • Review workpapers prepared by associates and provide feedback
  • Communicate regularly with clients to answer questions, obtain information, and discuss audit issues
  • Perform detailed testing of financial statement balances and transactions
  • Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
  • Track budgets to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within client deadlines
  • Identify and communicate audit findings to management
  • Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulations
  • Perform research and documentation of technical issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA, or CPA eligibility
  • Minimum two years of audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficiency in Prosystems (preferred)
